Happy Easter, plus K's 2 1/2 yr picture and B's 6 month picture!

Girls at 6 months

I thought this would be fun to get similar pictures at the same age. I think they look completely different, both couldn't get any cuter. :)

I dont wanna take a nap

K is now a once a weeker napper....my world of peace and quiet for 2 1/2 hours every day is slowly melting away. But, maybe I've found the trick! I told her mommy was going to work out and watch her movie so she can either have quiet time in her room or sit in her chair and stay with mommy. I looked down and before you know it, she's out! I guess its my incentive to get on that elliptical!!!

She's currently OBSESSED with purple (I think I've mentioned that before) and I don't have enough in her wardrobe at the moment so just be warned you will see her in the same things! :) She had to hold her shoes and dress...still hoping I'll put it on her.

Easter Egg Hunt

My girlfriend puts together an early Easter Egg hunt every year for the kids. It was so fun watching Kelsey get so excited about CAAAANNNDY, can you tell! And a sweet pic of Brookie with daddy, she hasn't seen him in a while (she doesn't do this ever!).

Love Bugs

Love this little man, he is officially smitten with B. He plays with her, reads to her, crawls with her, holds her and looks lovingly into her eyes. It's so sweet. When Kelsey comes up to her she immediately gets upset because Kelsey is so unpredictable but she knows that this little man will take good care of her. He says "Ohhhhh," while touching her cheek. Cuteness.

Potty Training

We started potty training a month ago...and its been pretty good. I'm actually amazed, I thought this day would NEVER come. We did the whole pick out what kind of panties you want but we've had some major #2 accidents so most of those are in the trash...so I went to Walmart and got a bunch of cheapies.

What has finally worked is I bought her a Disney Princess sing along DVD and I kept it on the bathroom sink until she went #2 in the big girl potty. As soon as she did, she said "My princess DVD!" So now I just tell her everyday she has to go #2 before we can watch it and she does it! Hopefully it lasts.

Now, I just need her to sleep in her big girl bed so Brooklyn can have the crib. Oh dear, that wont be fun.

She just figured out how to crawl out of her crib a week ago (I know, lucky she didn't figure this out sooner) so I had to put a child lock on the inside of the door and had to unscrew the lightbulbs out of the ceiling so she can't turn them on and play. It's working, thank goodness.

The room is set up for both girls to sleep in there but I don't think that will happen for a while, I have to wait until Kelsey realized that crawling into Brooklyn's bed isn't the best idea!

Brooklyn is 7 months!

Wow, so much has happened! She is crawling and pulling herself up on things. I found her standing up in the bassinet part of her pack n play the other day leaning on our bed which is right next to it, if she would have fallen over she would have fallen out of the crib! Scary. So, I've lowered that now. She also thinks she's big enough to let go from whatever she's holding on to, crazy girl. She's already starting up the stairs too. But, I'm excited she's so active because since day 1 she has not wanted to be a baby so I'm just happy her body is finally doing what she's wanted it to do!

Just 2 nights ago she decided she would finally sleep more than 3 hours at a time! She slept 10 hours last night, alone, by herself... it is seriously a miracle!

She is now formula fed. A combination of losing my milk, being done with it, wanting to lose weight and going to girls camp...I decided it was time. And honestly she is doing so much better. She now drinks her whole bottle where as before when I was bfeeding her she would only drink about 3 ounces. And she's sleeping through the night so she just seems more satisfied so I'm happy about that.

She loves any green baby food, yuck I think its gross. I have to sneak in the fruit in the green beans, funny.

She is still super smiley and happy all the time. We just love our little Brookie.

Santa Barbara Zoo

It was such a nice day Tuesday that Mandi and I decided to drive up to SB and go to the Zoo. It turned out to be a perfect day and all the animals were right in front of us. It was amazing to see the Gorilla so close, Kelsey would not go near the window she was terrified of him. We met my sis and Logan there of course, it was a blast!

Tots and Tutus

Kelsey has been going to a dance class and she is in love with it! She was a little timid at first but now she can't wait to dance. Her favorite part is when they turn the lights off and light up the disco ball and turn on the princess music with crowns and wands and dance to "A whole new world" or the Ariel song. She can't help herself but belt out the lyrics while she's watching herself in front of the mirror. I'll have to get a pic and post it back to this blog. Oh and of course we go have a treat after class...not quite a dancers diet but oh well :). This was ridiculous of me last week but I have to admit it. I took all the skirts she WANTS to wear to dance class and hid them in her closet so she only had her pink tutu left that aunt Holly made her, so she HAD to wear it. I'm not ready for this whole I want to pick out what to wear thing....the outfit choices are quite interesting. I don't know, maybe I'll get over it one day. :)

Fun with cousins III

It was so nice to spend time with Laurie and Traci, thanks for letting us crash your house! It was like doing what I do everyday, but it was 100 times more fun because it was like a party every day. Love them.

Fun with Cousins II

Don't know why I can't add more than one collage to a posting in Piacassa??? Anyway, just more pics of the fun. I love the pic with Kelsey and Lizzy in the wagon, they're going fffaaaasst!!!! :)

Fun with Cousins

It was so much fun hanging out with my sis in laws and all the kids! It makes me want to be closer to them. Kelsey, Lizzy and Millie had a blast together. Kelsey didn't know what to do with herself there was so much princess and barbie stuff to play with. Burke learned how to ride his bicycle without training wheels, yay! Brooklyn and Hank just kinda stared at eachother. Oh and Brooklyn decided she would start crawling, 3 month's before Kelsey started, crazy! It was soooo much fun, I can't wait to go back.

Hangin with Grandma

After Vegas we drove up to St. George to see Grandma, Karen, Evan's family and most of the cousins. Kelsey was so excited when she saw Grandma, she sat on her lap (top right) and didn't budge, and that is NOT like Kelsey to sit still. They were having a little St. Patty's day show for the folks at her home, it was pretty cute. I had to take the pic (bottom right) because there was an old couple decked out in green. They both had green wigs on, it was hilarious, they are in the front row... so funny. Later when Kelsey saw gram she said "Ohhhh Grandma," like she was so excited to see her. Cute. (Alright, Brooklyn is sleeping...finally)

Sightseeing with Jeanne

While we were in Vegas we went with Jeanne to the Bellagio to see the garden. The theme was so cute, they had butterflies everywhere and balloons it was just real bright and fun. Kelsey loved the real butterflies in this glass house, there were hundreds of them. She just had a blast running back and forth checking everything out. Then we walked to the Flamingo, but that wasn't so exciting :) Thanks Jean's for taking the day off just for us! Oh and I got to go out without the girls and have the most amazing sushi ever!!!! Thanks Maile for watching my girls! Soooo good, nothing compares to sushi in Vegas.

(Brooklyn is screaming in her bed right now...waiting for her to just give up and fall asleep so I can keep blogging. Seriously, how do you mom's find the time to blog? I'm about to give up on this blogging thing, would anyone even notice if I stopped?! :))

Trip to Vegas

This was forever ago but I just haven't sat down and blogged about it. My friend Danae and I drove to Vegas together, she went on up to St. George and we stayed and hung out for a bit. I haven't been to Vegas since we left almost 3 years ago! It was such a blast to see all my girlfriends and their babies. The first night was rough, we were all sleeping in the same room....Kelsey got up at 330am and didn't fall back asleep until 730! It's a good thing Brooklyn slept in her carseat the whole time we were tip toeing through Tiff's house. Not fun. It was so cute to see the girls together, everyone played so good together. (More pictures and blogging coming, as long as my girls stay sleeping!)
