My latest and greatest...flat iron.

I'm kind of a flat iron snob (the Chi just does nothing for me). So I was very sad when my Paul Mitchell flat iron of 4 years decided to finally die on me! Paul Mitchell flat iron's are incredibly expensive but I had a hairdresser friend who got it for me at wholesale last time. She was nice enough to do this again for me. Though pricey, totally worth it! I love that it heats up to 400 fast and it's so easy to use.
I know, I'm sort of embrassed that I'm even blogging about this because I'm sure anyone reading this right now could give a rats...but, if you had crazy frizzy wavy hair like me and need a good straightner then you too would appreciate this!

What I've learned: do not pull flat iron plugs out of sockets by the cord, 4 years of doing this will result in shortening the life of your beloved tool!

38 Weeks 3 Days

For some reason I thought that Brooklyn would come early and that I'd be done by now, wishful thinking I guess. But I'm getting so ancy and just want it over and done with! I was checked last week and yesterday and she hasn't even dropped yet! I was hoping to at least be at a 1 when I went in yesterday....nothin.
I'm stressing about silly things like wanting the house to be clean and ready for her homecoming, but having a toddler around doesn't make that easy (my huge belly and swollen feet are also a factor in me cleaning the house). There are so many things I want to do before she comes and I just can't muster the energy to do any of it! Waiting for that burst of nesting energy to kick in.
I still have 11 days until my due date. Doc said if nothing is going on by next thursdays then we will discuss induction...no!!!!! I really want to try going naturally this time, but since I have big babies it might not be a good idea to wait.
Uuugh, just sittin here waiting for something to happen...

Pink

Kelsey's favorite thing to do and say right now is to bring something to me that's pink, then asks "What color's that?" then it's my job to repeat the question and she says "PINK" with a proud look on her face.

Kelsey turns 2!!

I can't believe my little girl is 2! We had a little party for her with family in SB. It turned out to be Disney Princess themed, didn't mean to do that but that's what she's into so that's how it turned out.

• Kelsey loves food. She especially loves any style of rice, chick-a-roo (what she calls chicken) , fruit, bean burritos, any type of casserole and did I mention fruit.
• She is such a talker and has been for a while. I love that she picks up on everything so quickly. I'm also learning a lot about myself and things I do and say. I think, wow does she do that because I do that...yes.
• She is still very friendly to everyone that she sees. Always says hello until they notice that she's talking to them. People are usually very suprised at how friendly she is.
• She's obsessed with babies, all kind of babies but especially her cousin Logan. She is going to be such a little mommy with Brooklyn, I'm in for it.
• She's obsessed with Disney movies. Her favorites, in order are; Nemo, Little Mermaid, Tinker Bell, Sleeping Beauty and Princess and the Frog. It's mostly Nemo and Little Mermaid.
• She loves the beach and the pool. I constantly have to be by her side because she will just walk right into the ocean or jump off the diving board. You might think I'm mean but I let her get trampled by the waves and she just stood up and said "that's funy mommy." She is so brave. Needless to say, not a lot of beach trips this summer because I couldn't keep up with her!
• She still naps, and I still enjoy that 2 1/2 hours of peace :)
• She loves tv, and I don't feel guilty. What does an only child do when its too hot outside?! She loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Dora and Phineas and Ferb.
• Kelsey loves books and will just read them by herself in her room.
• Kelsey loves singing! We listen to primary songs in the car and she definitely has her favorites. Head, shoulders, knees and toes, Wise Man/Foolish Man, Popcorn, Sunbeam, and I am a Child of God.
• She loves Nursery, she can hardly wait until the 2nd and 3rd hour where she gets to play with toys and her friends.

We love our Kelsey bear, she is such a joy to have around. She always makes us smile and laugh and we are so grateful she's such a happy girl. Happy Birthday sweet girl.

Kelsey's obsessed with Ariel

I believe Kelsey's obsession with Ariel started in the womb! She has to watch it at least once a day since Grandma Connie bought it for her a month ago and she already knows the words to her songs. She especially loves singing the part where Ursula is taking Ariel's voice away. So Kelsey puts her hands on her throat and sings away. We here her doing this in her crib right when she wakes up or falls asleep. And if she wants you to do it with her and you're not putting hands on your throat then she stops and says "Momma!" so I do as she tells and we sing away.

Brooklyn's Shower

Last weekend was my shower. Tiffany and Kera from Vegas drove up to help Jill throw it. It was so much fun. Honestly I feel spoiled that I had a shower when I'm having another girl, but they insisted. So, of course there was yummy food and fun games and way too many gifts. Thank you everyone who came and helped out, I feel so special and loved to have such amazing friends! (Holly was taking the pics, so of course there's not one pic of her included :( ).

My Vegas Girls

Tiffany and Kera drove up from Vegas to help throw me a shower last weekend. The house was filled with girls (Evan was found hiding upstairs in his man cave) and it was so much fun. They only came up for the weekend so it was too short of a trip to do much, but we enjoyed hanging out with the girls and watching them play together. Kelsey finally met her match, both Kelsey and Chloe are bullies to quiet and meek so we were happy to see that they played fairly.
Kera made these awesome flower balls that she hung in the girls bedroom. I still need to take a pic of their cute room and post it!

Underwood Family Farms

I've been meaning to post, but just seems like an overwhelming task at the moment :). So, here's my attempt at it.
This was in July, Jill, Landon, Kelsey and I went to Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark (I think). It's such a cute place for kids, they can pick strawberries and ride ponies and look at all the animals. It was really hot that day, notice flushed faces, but of course the kids didn't mind. Myself on the other hand, dying of heat stroke! I can't wait to go back in another month when its cooler.
Notice a picture of a goat in the air??!! Not sure about why the goats are walking on 2x4's in the air, but it was interesting enough to take a pic!
