Been Crafty Lately

For Christmas my grandma bought me a Pfaff sewing machine which I love! My ward has a sewing class twice a week that I try to make so I can actually learn how to sew. My first project 6 months ago was a bust so I decided to do something a little easier (meaning sewing in a straigh line.) So, I decided to make these cute burp clothes for Holly's baby boy and they turned out so cute and it was so fun to do because it was so simple!
My next sewing attempt is to make her a Boppy cover...I only have 3 months to do it, hopefully I get it done. :/

I've also been obsessed with making hair bows this week, thanks to my friend Tiffany. They are so easy, I don't know why I was buying them (oh wait, pure laziness).

My/Our Birthday

I had a great birthday week. First, Jill took Holly and I to a spa where we had a mud bath treatment and relaxed. It was so nice to get away from children and just relax for a couple hours. I never do anything like that for myself so it was something different and fun. After the spa we went to CPK and gorged, of course. Thanks Jill, I have no pics of you though :(
Saturday night some friends of ours went to PF Changs with us, it was soooo good. I ate a fish I wasn't supposed to eat, oopsie. I haven't been to PF Changs since I worked there a year and a half ago, I sure missed its goodness.
Evan bought me the prettiest bouquet of flowers...thanks babe!

Also, bought these super cute sandals...yay for more cute sandals! :)

A bun in the oven

We are very excited to announce that we are expecting a little one on September 7th. I'm about 15 weeks along and I heard the heartbeat today which was very exciting.
Another hot summer for me in my 3rd trimester...can't wait!
I've been feeling really good, no morning sickness or anything. We can't wait to find out next month what it is.
Stay tuned...

Trip to Santa Barbara

Kelsey and I drove up to Santa Barbara last week. Unfortunately my camera battery died so these were the only 2 pictures I could take. We went to see grandma at her rehab facility, she's getting stronger and stronger every day. We can't wait until she can be in her own home and walking around.
Parks are just so much prettier in Santa Barbara. I took Kelsey to one of my favorite parks Alice Keck park. She was in love with the ducks and wanted to jump in with them. I pretty much spent most of my time holding her from the edge of the pond. She cried when we would leave.

2 Peas in a Pod...

...or at least that's what Kelsey thinks. She constantly harasses him and jumps on him, steals his bottle trying to feed him, stealing his crackers and deciding that she wants to ride on his car with him. She squeezes herself in front of him, and Landon just has this look like "what is going on, who is this chick?".

Sippin on the sauce...

Kelsey and Landon...mostly Kelsey decided that she should go into the recycling after the Superbowl and chug what was left in the root beer bottles. She did NOT want to go to sleep that night!

Texas in January

I apologize to those who have been waiting for a post (I wont mention any names :). In January Holly, Kelsey and I went to Texas to visit our dad and grandma. It's been way to long since we saw them both so we thought we better just head over there ourselves. I was a little scared about going to a whole new place and getting a rental car, mostly because I usually rely on Evan to do all the hard work, but it ended up being fine. Gram is in a rehab center, but she's doing so much better. This was the first time she met Kelsey and she was so excited to meet her, she said she couldn't go to sleep at night because all she thought about was her...cute.
It was good to see my dad and step mom Chloe, Kelsey loved her because she let her play with her makeup and eat it. I was like, are ya sure you want her to do that, but she didn't care.
I love the look on Kelsey's face when my dad's changing her diaper.
We went to the Dallas aquarium and she was most impressed with the penguins! I took that picture of her in the tub b/c she loved that sourdough roll from cheescake factory, she didn't want to put it down. It just ended up being dipped in the water, super yummy!
We ate some really good bbq, mmmmm mmm good.
Thanks for such a fun time dad!
