Gleeks!

Last night Evan and I went to Burbank HS Pop Show...it was amazing! I really didn't have high hopes since it was a high school show, but it was soooo good! I was joking with Evan before we left; "Wow, we are going to a HS show for a date...is that really lame or what?" So glad we went.
There were probably 200 kids in this show, which was amazing to me because choir at my school was NOT that cool. Maybe being in L.A. has something to do with it. These kids had vocal, dance and acting skills.
Our friends that we met there and are in a Burbank ward said the young adults are all in choir. They said the guys will try out for football but after a while will end up in choir. So odd to me, just growing up at schools where that so wasn't the case.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to there next preformance and you all should come with.
Auditions are in June...can I go back to highschool just to be a part of this?! :)

Cousin Time

After Colorado we drove down to Hurricane, UT to see Evan's sisters that live there. I got some really cute pictures of the cousins. Kelsey and Elizabeth are 6 weeks apart, Millie is 6 and Burke is 4. I love all of their big eyes...we make pretty cute kids! :)

Dove Creek, Co

Last week Evan, Kelsey and I made a 2,2o0 mile drive to Colorado to visit both sets of his grandparents and to meet his parents who were driving home from their 18 month mission in Boston. We had a rough start of Kelsey getting croup the night before we left, and then my stupidity of not paying attention to a tire issue on our car and getting a flat in the middle of nowhere at night outside of Needles, Az. That was horrid! We ended up putting our spare on, driving to Needles to find a 'lovely' motel and then getting up the next morning to drive another 60 miles (on our donut) to Kingman, Az because apparently our tires were to fancy for Needles to keep them in stock. After that it was pretty much smooth sailing.
From there we drove through Flagstaff and then onto Albuquerque, NM where we stayed over night. Evan had to take us to 'El Pinto' world famous mexican restaurant in Albuquerque. And yes, it was really good. After that, lots of heartburn and other fun stuff and onto Sanford, Co. where his parents were with Grandpa Faucette (I have these pics on another computer that I need to get.)
After Sanford we went to Dove Creek, Co where his mom is from (these are her parents and sister above). We had such a great time with everyone and it was so good to see them. This was the first time Kelsey met her great-grandparents and some of her distant cousins. Kinser and Kelsey were two peas in a pod, it was so sweet she just wanted to sit on his lap all the time.
We drove out in the country to see the homestead where Great-Grandpa was born. That was so cool to see the actual house is still there!
More pics to come...

Latter Day Lip Sync

Last Saturday our yw and ym put on a lip sync and fundraiser for camp. Since Evan's in the ym presidency he was lucky enough to be able to participate in it. The presidency did Monty Python's Camelot song (I've never heard of it, but if you're a monty python fan you might know about it). Anyway, Evan spent time memorizing all the lines but as soon as he was on stage he forgot that it was a lip sync so he didn't sing. He did have a solo at the end and he did quite good at that :). It was funny because his helmet kept falling down, but it just made it more funny to watch.
All in all it was hilarious to watch everybody do their skits.

Preggers Twinners

My twin sister is pregnant as well, for those of you who didn't know. She's 3 months ahead of me, but for some reason we kinda look the same. I'm sure it has something to do with my second time around and her first. This is me at 18 weeks and her at 30 weeks. She's due June 9th and having a boy 'Logan', and I'm hoping we can get more pics of us together...I will be sad if this is the only one!

It's Beach Time

Earlier this month Jill, Landon, Kelsey and I went to the beach. It was such a beautiful perfect day. Kelsey no longer just sits on a beach towel like last year so its a lot more work now. Luckily there wasn't too many people there so I could let her roam around without losing her. She thinks she can just run into the waves. I almost thought about letting her go for it to see that she can't do that, but the current was a little too strong. She loves the beach, if you couldn't tell by her cheese face.
Can't wait for more beach time!!!

Our Backyard

Our yard is done, yaya! We've only been living here for a year with dirt in the back...who would've thought all it took were a couple of emails to the owners and they were all for it! So excited for Kelsey to actually have a place to play where I don't have to worry about her. Now all we need is a little bistro table and some toys for Kels.
