Fun with Cousins

It was so much fun hanging out with my sis in laws and all the kids! It makes me want to be closer to them. Kelsey, Lizzy and Millie had a blast together. Kelsey didn't know what to do with herself there was so much princess and barbie stuff to play with. Burke learned how to ride his bicycle without training wheels, yay! Brooklyn and Hank just kinda stared at eachother. Oh and Brooklyn decided she would start crawling, 3 month's before Kelsey started, crazy! It was soooo much fun, I can't wait to go back.

Hangin with Grandma

After Vegas we drove up to St. George to see Grandma, Karen, Evan's family and most of the cousins. Kelsey was so excited when she saw Grandma, she sat on her lap (top right) and didn't budge, and that is NOT like Kelsey to sit still. They were having a little St. Patty's day show for the folks at her home, it was pretty cute. I had to take the pic (bottom right) because there was an old couple decked out in green. They both had green wigs on, it was hilarious, they are in the front row... so funny. Later when Kelsey saw gram she said "Ohhhh Grandma," like she was so excited to see her. Cute. (Alright, Brooklyn is sleeping...finally)

Sightseeing with Jeanne

While we were in Vegas we went with Jeanne to the Bellagio to see the garden. The theme was so cute, they had butterflies everywhere and balloons it was just real bright and fun. Kelsey loved the real butterflies in this glass house, there were hundreds of them. She just had a blast running back and forth checking everything out. Then we walked to the Flamingo, but that wasn't so exciting :) Thanks Jean's for taking the day off just for us! Oh and I got to go out without the girls and have the most amazing sushi ever!!!! Thanks Maile for watching my girls! Soooo good, nothing compares to sushi in Vegas.

(Brooklyn is screaming in her bed right now...waiting for her to just give up and fall asleep so I can keep blogging. Seriously, how do you mom's find the time to blog? I'm about to give up on this blogging thing, would anyone even notice if I stopped?! :))

Trip to Vegas

This was forever ago but I just haven't sat down and blogged about it. My friend Danae and I drove to Vegas together, she went on up to St. George and we stayed and hung out for a bit. I haven't been to Vegas since we left almost 3 years ago! It was such a blast to see all my girlfriends and their babies. The first night was rough, we were all sleeping in the same room....Kelsey got up at 330am and didn't fall back asleep until 730! It's a good thing Brooklyn slept in her carseat the whole time we were tip toeing through Tiff's house. Not fun. It was so cute to see the girls together, everyone played so good together. (More pictures and blogging coming, as long as my girls stay sleeping!)

What's our crazy toddler been up to?

Broke the piggy bank.

Big girl panties, everywhere, yay. (potty training, day 2)

Got into mommy's lipstck.
That's what!

Eeeek I'm 28!

Holly and I turned 28 this last weekend. Am I really almost 30? Weird.

The plus side to having a birthday is that you have a really good excuse to leave your kids at home and go out. I went out to sushi 2 nights in a row and it was amazing. First night, Maru sushi, it was sooo goood. We had some recommendations from a friend to get the yellowtail belly, so delicious. Thanks Carly!

Second night we went with a group of about 16 of us from church to Wockano. It was my first time there and it was such a nice place and we had such good food. So fun, I miss going out with friends all the time. After Wockano we hit up Menchi's fro yo. I did not take any pictures, except 1 at the end of the night when most people went home, but here it is (I have no idea who brunette man is in the background all by himself, congrats though you made it in the pic). Thanks everyone for coming!
Jill and I went with the kiddos to get cupcakes, also a good reason to eat cupcakes in the middle of the day :)
Evan took me shopping for my bday, which is all I ever really want to do. Thanks babe. My first choice of bday present was a night in a hotel by myself so I can sleep, but tax season really permits that.waa :(

Holly is so crafts and made me this casserole carrier! Isn't it awesome! Check out her blog at CraftsbyHolly.blogspot.com.

Brooklyn's 6 months!...and more

I can't believe my little stinker is 6 months already, and I'm actually super excited that she's growing up. I have to say she is the HARDEST baby ever! She still cannot put herself to sleep, has to sleep next to me and will not take naps unless I lay down with her or rock her vigorously in her car seat. She is seriously high maintenance. Kelsey was the complete opposite and has always been really independent, which I love, so having a very clingy baby is hard for me.
Ask anyone, I have tried everything. I've let her cry, for hours people, she just keeps crying. I've got her asleep in my arms and gently put her in the pack n play, she wakes up. Her eyes are red, she's rubbing them but she just will not sleep. One of the only things that gets her to sleep is the boob...some nights its in her mouth all night! That's only when I'm so tired that I don't even care to look for the binky. I'm glad to report that she now appreciates the binky, thanks to Holly and my mother in law. I guess she figured she'd have to give in since there wasn't a boob around (well there was lots of boobs, but we just weren't going to go there).

She is 15lbs 5 oz. in the 30-40% and 26" long.
She enjoys her real food now. Tries to sit up until she sees something she wants and falls over. She is rocking on her hands and knees. She ends up in the downward dog position a lot, but then loses her balance and falls over. She can army crawl, now its very slow but she can still get herself forward if she wants to. Right now she's obsessed with a baby doll, its pretty cute. She will repeat dada, but when someone's around she makes me look like I'm crazy (which I really do feel crazy a lot, but one of my friend's just says its sleep deprivation...hope so).

Side note: I was on skype with my cousin and B wakes up and I say, "Oh there goes my fun" she says "But you were sweeping." Yes, but sweeping alone, in peace and quiet is sooo much fun to me. I'm that desperate people. But, I'm sure other moms out there would concur.

The last 6 months have been challenging but she is so happy and so darn cute that I can't trade it for anything.
