So, I just had my last doctor's appt. today to see if I'm dialated at all and....I'm not. I'm 38 weeks and 2 days and I was hoping she would come on her own, but since they think she's a big girl they can't wait until my due date which is August 26th. So, I'm being induced on Wednesday the 20th at 3pm. The bad news, from what the doc and other people have told me is that being induced takes a really long time. I wont actually have her until the following evening which means I have to stay in the hospital for what will seem like an eternity. Hopefully the sleeping pill they give me will make it go a bit faster. :)
In the mean time I hope this next week goes by fast because I'm getting really anxious to see her! We can't wait!

One of my friends has been induced with all 3 baby's and they all came really fast, so you never know. Getting to show up at the hospital for a scheduled appt probably beats going into labor in the middle of the night! Good luck!
Hi Nicole! I came across your blog and just wanted to comment!! I'm so excited for you! A light at the end of the tunnel! Yea! I LOVED being induced...so don't let the stories scare you! Mallory came SO slow and so late. It was such a relief to be induced with Hannah and know when she was coming and have it only last 6 1/2 hours! And yeah - the drugs are great! I totally recommend taking what they offer! ;o) I'm sure you'll do just fine! It will all be worth it once you get to hold your little sweetie!! Good luck!!

And you just never know what will happen - I had zero progression - not dialated at all, nothing moving, nothing - on Friday. My water broke at 4 am on Monday morning - so things can happen fast. You will do great!
