My Grandma

My grandma's local newpaper wrote a little article on her. They were amazed that she volunteers every morning at the soup kitchen downtown at 4am to cut vegetables and feed the homeless. She talked about how she likes to keep busy, “It’s so important to keep busy,” she said during an interview at her home on the Riviera. “You don’t have time to think of your aches and pains. It’s no use in sitting around and watching TV or feeling sorry for yourself, you’ve got to get out and work.” It was nice how they included a little bit about her history, because she was raised in the depression she was finally able to get her degree in her 30's and after 5 children.

This picture is of her and all the caps she knits for the newborns at the hospital, just because she can. Amazing!

"Hero - a person who, in the opinion of others, has heroic qualities or has performed a heroic act and is regarded as a model or ideal" With such a amazing mentor to look up to, no wonder you became such a wonderful person!

kaustraw:Aunt Yvonne and Uncle Bruce have been looking at your blog Nicole and they agree with Grandma Ruth, that Kelsey is a little knock-out. Of course she knows that her Ma and Pa think she is the most wonderful child that has ever been sent to this planet.
